A: Short Answer: No." But you're right, it does seem that they are specifically focused on revenue generation. Honestly, I don't think I'm going to quite give up on them yet - since Blizz has mentioned potentially bringing back the competition, I figure it may be appropriate to bring back the characters for my next entry. :) I was referring more to another Q/A in the post:
